DR. JEFFREY SCHMIDLEIN

 

Dr Jeff Schmidlein attended undergrad at Hiram College.  He studied medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark , New Jersey. He was boarded in Internal Medicine in 1982, and went on to a sub specialty in Nephrology for a year at Georgetown University.   He started his private practice in Internal Medicine in Maryland. He shares his office with his wife , Dr. Hackett, who is a pediatrician.  He has two children Patrick and Nicole, and among other things, he enjoys athletics, motorcycles, target shooting, and horticulture.

VACATION INFORMATION

Dear Patients,    

I will be away for the 2021 holiday  beginning  Saturday December 18th and will return to the office on Monday December 27th. During this time, I will not be available by cell phone or portal.

If you have a medical concern during regular office hours, my office phone will open at 8am and Chris, Amy or Barb will be happy to assist you.  Please note my office will be closed on Thanksgiving day 11/25/21, Christmas Eve Friday December 24 and New Year's Eve Friday 12/31/21.

If you have an urgent matter after regular office hours, or if the office phone has closed early for the holiday, medical advice will be available via my triage nurse Barb, by calling 443-346-4696.

For prescription refills, please try to get them filled prior to December 23rd, otherwise please call 410-647-8829 as early in the day as possible as office phone hours will vary during the holidays. If you do not need the refill right away, you can send a request through the Athena Health portal.
